Change Server Name

When I setup the server it pulled the name from the dhcp server it was running on temporarily. No I no longer want the dhcp-123-6 as the server’s name. Is there a way to change that. I looked though the openfire.xml and cant find it there so I’m assuming its in the sql database.

Is that the only place to change the name?

Will changing the name brake much?

You can change the servername in admin console. Just login, at the bottom of the start page (“Server Information”) you will find a button “Edit Properties”. There you can change server name and ports.

I feel realy dumb for not finding that.
