2.2.1 broke LDAP rosters

We just upgraded from Jive Messenger server v2.2.0 to 2.2.1. In version 2.2.0 our configured LDAP groups displayed in our users rosters, although we had the problem of presence not working and LDAP information not updating in a timely manner. After we upgraded to 2.2.1 our configured LDAP groups stopped displaying in our users rosters completely. I can see all the groups and users from the web admin interface but get a blank roster in our Psi client. Anybody heard of this? We used the exact same configuration file as we did with 2.2.0 and changed nothing.

If you are integrated with Windows AD, I suspect your “pre-Windows 2000” user IDs contain capital letters. When I upgraded, I had a lot of missing users and that’'s what it turned out to be. Its an acknowledged bug which has not been resolved. The quick fix is to make those user IDs all lower case, give time for the changes to propagate, and then restart JM.
