[3.9.1] Forbidden characters in Messages?

Hello everybody,

our company is currently building a application with the help of openfire.

We recently noticed that some specific emoticons sent by a Android App will result in a disconnect by the server.

We generated a message with serveral default emoticons provided in Android 4.2.2 and delivered it to the server.

This is the error which will then kill the apps connection:

Is this a known bug or is there even a way around it so the server supports such special chars?

Thanks in advance

Known bug: OF-455

Please test a nightly build (http://www.igniterealtime.org/downloads/nightly_openfire.jsp), there may s2s issues with gmail but this bug should be solved.
