Hey zhuam,

This is a connectivity problem with your database. Many things could be wrong such as: database not running, bad port, TCP/IP not enabled, etc… You can check this link where many solutions are being mentioned: http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=419214

BTW, in the latest nightly build you will find a fix for the default Database URL to use for MS-SQL. The correct format is the following: jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://[host-name]:1433;databasename=[database-name]
