Rooms are 100% unadministrable (is that a word?) unless we can specify membership by leveraging groups from our directory.
In all seriousness, a product that leverages LDAP for users and groups for something like mere display of contacts (rosters), but doesn’‘t leverage LDAP for securing access to chat rooms, is missing a huge advantage to what they’'ve only partially implemented, which could be perfected with just a bit more work!
