Is anyone doing active development on spark? Who controls access to the source? Are there any sponsors?
There is not much active development. Only a few community contributors (@cstux, @Konstantin) are doing some work, sometimes someone esle is providing patches. Access to the source is still controlled by Jive Software, though they have given it for some community members. cstux has SVN commit rights for Spark project. There are no sponsors except for the Jive itself (they have started Openfire, Smack, Spark projects in the past and then made them open source).
