AD Admin Password Changed - Wildfire Won''t Start

We use Wildfire connecting to an AD domain via LDAP. We changed our AD Domain Administrator password and now we can’'t connect to the Wildfire server. From the Wildfire server console, this is the error that we get:

Error starting XMPP listener on port 5222: Address already in use: JVM_Bind

Error starting SSL XMPP listener on port 5223: Address already in use: JVM_Bind

Wildfire 2.6.0

Error starting admin console: Multiple exceptions

From the user end, this is the error that we get:

was disconnected due to an error: Authentication Failure

Thanks in advance for your help!

Chnage the \conf\wildfire.xml file to restart the setup where you ca redefine the LDAP username & password.

edit the file with Wordpad or similar and change the

save the file and restart the wildfire server, clicking on ‘‘Launch Admin’’ when loaded

Now you can change the setup settings (most will be cached from your previous setup)

Also, in case this hasn’‘t been mentioned. You don’‘t need to run wildfire with a domain admin level login, in fact it’‘s a pretty bad idea. if somebody get’‘s curios and get’‘s a hold of that config file that shouldn’'t. Your ad setup is at risk big time.

All it needs is an account with domain user so it can read from ad.
