Ad-Hoc Commands - How To?

OS/Distro: Linux/Fedora 7

Openfire: 3. 4.5

Authentication Mode: LDAP (Fedora Directory Server)

installation method: Installed through RPM

Clients: PSI, Exodus

I know I must be missing an RTFM, I have googled and searched the forums, but I can’t seem to figure out how to enable and use Ad-Hoc commands with Openfire.

When I connect using Psi or Exodus as an administrator, and browse to services, I don’t see an Ad-Hoc Service. Is there some property I am supposed to enable?

I have the admin users enabled through the line <authorizedUsernames>myadmin1,myadmin2,myadmin3</authorizedUsernames&g t; in openfire.xml.

What (probably incredibly obvious thing) am I missing?

thanks,

jon

and browse to services, I don’t see an Ad-Hoc Service.

There is no service…just right click with Psi 0.11 (or newer) in Service-Disco on an item (in that case Openfire itself) and choose “execute command”. But indeed, some of the commands are not working.

You can also do right click“execute command” on normal contacts. Thats how the remote control feature of Psi works.
