Are there any updates on the Flash client for Jive Messenger?

Hi Flash support is on the wish list. We haven’‘t heard from any customers or potential customers that need it immediately so it’‘s been given a lower priority than other ‘‘must have’’ features (like working on Smack and providing a JSP webchat client). If it’‘s a ‘‘must have’’ for you, can you tell me what your time line would be on needing the feature? We certainly want to add support so being able to pin a customer need to it will help boost it’'s priority.

It isn’'t a must have at this time, but more of a “nice” feature to allow for a zero install deployment in a light manufacuring environment (Flash already installed)

OK. That’‘s pretty much what we’‘re getting from our other customers as well. In the short term, our JSP based pure HTML chat client should do the trick (nothing running in the browser, you just need IE5+ or netscape/Mozilla 5+). Flash is on the list but may be late summer or early fall at it’'s current priority ranking.
