Same problem as GTalk, but with AIM.
Using Openfire 3.5.2
IM Gateway version; 1.2.3a
We are new to the world of OpenFire and have been very impressed by our experience thus far.
Here’s the problem we have encountered and are wondering if anyone has any idea what could be causing this very odd behavior through the AOL transport mechanism.
- IM Transport Gateway is installed.
- No problem creating/registering a connection to “proxy” a AIM account.
- AIM contacts are properly displayed.
- Sending messages to other people at AIM works perfectly; they get all the messages. However, when they reply those of us behind/using Spark through the IM Gateway AIM transport are not able to see any responses (inbound message)
We have confirmed that our firewall settings are enabled to accept connections on port 5190.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
