Hi,

Its posible to turn on avatar on openfire server without LDAP ? I have Openfire 3.6.3.

Hi,

avatars are supported, use Spark or any other client to upload one. Anyhow the users must update their profile and avatar instead of pulling them from LDAP. For a public server this is usally fine but for a private server one usually want to use LDAP.

I use Pandion client, when I try to change avatar i got :

I dont have LDAP on serwer ( admin dont aggry on that), in openfire setting i have :

Profile Settings :

Default - Store users and groups in the server database. This is the best option for simple deployments.

So, is there a way to use avatar without LDAP ?

Hi,

can you set other vCard properties like name? The default setup allows to store custom vCards (and thus also custom images).
