I’m running Spark 2.5.8 on Windows XP on a Core 2 Duo 2.0 Ghz with 2 Gigs of RAM and Java 1.6.02 When I attempt to view the conversation history for someone who’s chat history is 2,368 K, After 10 minutes I am still unable to scroll down. The performance of the conversation history window is terrible and bogs down my computer for several minutes. Opening a 81K chat history has a perfectly acceptable response time and only momentarily bogs down my system (sluggish mouse movement).

Spark needs a change in History showing, whether it should be a new rendering engine or tabs for months, years, etc. About rendering. There is a JIRA issue SPARK-384. Though i’m not sure if this can help with large history files.
