When clients such as PSI and Tkabber do a service discovery, it shows “Openfire Server” at the top node of the list. I want to be able to change that for security reasons so people don’t know that I am actually running Openfire.

I think you can get even version number when looking at user info in a client. And i think this cant be changed, cause this is hardcoded. Could be a feature request maybe. Though this is a “security through obscurity” technic and doesnt give you a realsecurity if you are using some obsolete amd buggy versions of software, imho.
