Change port to 25001 or higher on Openfire 3.7.0

We are looking at using this in our DMZ, but have been asked if we can change the port.

I was able to change the port in the Admin console, but Spark isn’t able to connect. When I try, I get the message that says “invalid server name or server unreachable”…

This is being tested on our internal network, so there shouldn’t be any firewall issues yet.

Any reason why Spark wouldn’t be able to connect???

You should change this in Spark too, as it tries the default 5222 port. On the Spark’s startup screen go to Advanced and change the Port value.
