Characters prohibited in account naming

Hello,
I have seen a problem on Openfire server when adding an Administration account with a space or a “-”, i can see following message “The property admin.authorizedJIDs was updated”. Then we go to the “admin.authorizedJIDs” the account was not created.

How do we guard against this kind of mistake?

Exactly how are you doing this? Are you using the admin console? If so, what page?

Additionally, which version of Openfire? Some improvements were made to handling of properties that are lists in 4.7.0
