Chat needs for a callcenter


I was hoping one of you can point me in the right direction. I work at a place where they have call center opeations. There is a need to provide for online chat capabilities. Idea is end users can go to a website and start to chat with call center reps. I may have 10k+ nd users and 1K+ call center reps.

Would openfire and spark support for such an application? If yes … can you point me to some docs. that will guide me thru setting it up. If no and you know of any other technology that I can utilize to make this happen, please let me know.

Well, there is such Fastpath plugin for Openfire (Spark also has an integrated support for it). But you hardly will find any support for Fastpath here, also it has bugs and no plans for future development.
