hello:) nice chating in did:) Though i was late as always. Gato asked for Exodus debug log when attempting to reconnect to restarted Jive server. Matt, could you point Gato to this thread, i’'ll post log here:

Looking up SRV: xmpp-client.tcp.<server_name>

Direct DNS failed… Using server: <server_name>

RECV:

Setting reconnect timer to: 4

Looking up SRV: xmpp-client.tcp.<server_name>

This happens when restarting service in services.msc, and it acts like this after cmds:

messenger-service /stop

messenger-service /start

Exodus 0.9.0.0

Hey wroot,

I will try to reproduce the problem you are having running messenger as a service. Meanwhile, are you using SSL to connect with the server? Are you able to connect with other clients?

No SSL

I’’ have tested 7 clients so far, only Exodus have problems with reconnect on my systems (WinXP Pro SP2, DHCP)

i mean REconnect (after server stop, restart etc.). Exodus connects normally in normal circumstances.

Sounds like an Exodus issue then. Anyway, I will try to reproduce the problem to confirm that it’'s not a Messenger problem.
