Hey guys,

This is probably the wrong place to ask for a wish list item, but thought this would get the most views from devs. please forgive me!

I would love to see someone update the asterisk-im plug-in. For the most part, it works well, but it doesn’t work when the environment is set up for hot desking. The current plugin requires the user mapped to both extension and device, which is fine for “extension mode” but doesn’t work with “Device & User Mode”… Since the plug in is 7-8 years old, I’m sure there have been some huge improvements to asterisk and its api. There are also some other minor issues that I think could be resolved with an update.

Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m not aware of any dev currently working on that plugin.

I don’t believe there is…that’s where the “wish” comes from!

There have been a number of random post related to the asterisk-im plugin, so I’m sure it would be something that others would like to see. I figured I would throw it out there, in hopes someone might take pity on use non-devs/non coders.
