At what point will the ability to not allow users to self-register with Messenger be added? i.e. As an administrator I want (potential) users to have to go through me before they can connect to my server.

Great, the sooner the better, like last week.
I hope to be setting up a Jabber server in the next week or two as part of portal. We need to make sure only users who are registered (and paid) have access to instant messaging, hence the request.

That would be great. I’'m encouraging a potential client of mine to use Messenger and having this feature would make things a lot easier (for me at least ).
