Cluster configuration for fail over and high availability

Folks,

On my OPF 3.5.2 install after a cluster has been created, it shows two running servers from the Cluster Overview page e.g. remote 192.168.1.x ® and local node 192.168.1.y (L). If my jabber client connects to L, and it goes down, I don’t see the cluster helping. Do I need to set up DNS SVR records (ref as akrherz recommends) ? How do I go about setting up failover from the jabber clients point of view? Is there any documentation guidance? I’ve done some searching, but couldn’t find anything immediately.

Thanks

Apparently I’m seeing clustering is not for this kind of failover situation I’m imagining where server R takes over after server L crashes. Also found a doc which seems to clarify clustering.
