Configuring GAIM

Hi,

I have installed openfire on my linux machine.

I have installed Gaim 1.5 and Gaim 2.0 on two different machines in the same network where the server is installed

I have created 2 different users to access the server from those messengers, There is no problem with logging into the GAIM clients but i am not able to add the other user to the first users list it gives me a

Error: 404 Error

and Subscription: None (To Pending)

can anybody tell me how to resolve this issue?

Greetings,

My first guess is that you didn’'t specify the hostname for the Jabber ID? You just tried to add the username as a buddy instead of username@hostname
