I’d really appreciate help on this one. Just started setting up an XMPP server for my EVE Online Alliance. I’ve installed the OpenFire server on a Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise box. Went through basic configuration (used built-in DB). It is on a server on my home connection (50Mbps down / 2 Mbps up).
I’ve set up my web server (at a datacenter) to associate our domain to my home IP. So our server, .net , has been setup to point social..net to my home IP. When I do a ping from my laptop (on home connection) to social.****.net (actual domain used obviously ), it successfully grabs my home IP from the domain lookup and does a successful ping. So I’d assume the redirection is functioning.
I’ve also setup my modem to pass ALL traffic regardless to my Router. My router has the jabber ports forwarded to my server.
Despite all of this, I am unable to connect to my server using PSI on either my home connection or my fellow developers connection in Kansas.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for your time,
