Crashing in Conference

Does anyone heavily use conference rooms with Spark? I had my first opportunity to in the last few days and I, as well as others, was frequently getting kicked out of Spark. I jumped over to Pandion and havent had the problem since. I didnt find any similar bugs, but perhaps there are not many users of the conference room functionality?

Hi,

I did never see such a problem but I’'m using the feature not heavily. May one ask to which server (LAN+Wildfire or jabber.org) you were connected to?

Are you using the Windows version?

And what does “kicked out of Spark” mean? Did it lose the connection?

Can you find some errors in %userprofile%\Spark\logs\ - this would probably help to identify the problem.

LG

Hi Joshd,

What is probably happening is that you are losing your connection in both clients, yet Pandion auto-reconnects silently while Spark explicitly notifies you. We have gone ahead and added silent reconnect for our next release of Spark. This should solve your problem. Thanks for the report and keep them coming.

Derek’‘s comments make sense. FWIW, we’'re running wildfire and the error log for the morning I was having problems is below:
