Crazy Idea


Just set up my first openfire system VERY easy to set up and configure.

But now to add special features. One i’m after is, is there a way to automatic change or tag a users status. The status will change depending on location

e.g. If a client has logon via an IP adress onsite they will get a onsite or in office status. if they log in from an external address they would get a off site of out of office status.

Anyone out there done this or know of a way to get me in the right direction.

I think you could implement yourself a status on top of openfire (in your software).

The direction i see it to get the ip and the used app, that the user use which you can see in session menu in openfire web-admin.

Then use those information in addition to classic user status.
