I just updated to 4.3.2 with the inplace upgrade option. I am now getting an error when trying to start the service. What am i missing? i have rebooted, tried reinstalling again with the bundledJRE option, still nothing.

I guess by “start the service” you mean Openfire launcher with the yellow bulb icon? This is not a service. Well, in Windows service is a thing that runs automatically (you can see them in services.msc panel). Read this: Explanation: Database lock acquisition failure error
I have removed the yellow light bulb from the start up and my clients are able to connect, but when i try going to localhost:9090 on the machine i get the following http 500 error.

please disregard previous not working reply. i re-added the /admin directory, and just renamed the lib directory and restarted service. it is all working now.
