I have Asterisk IM up and running with the latest patch (to handle the error when populating the extension list) and am running the latest version of Wildfire. I can make internal calls using the call feature but if I try to make an external call, my phone rings and then when I pick it up the nice lady says goodbye (or something like that) and nothing further happens. Any idea what I am doing wrong?
I found the answer myself. Basically I had specified the wrong context in Asterisk IM and when I viewed the Asterisk logs I could see that the outbound call was failing because Asterisk had no way to route the call. Once I specified the correct context (to match the internal extensions), calls are routed perfectly. Thought I would note this in case other folks had a similar problem.
