Difficulty installing 3.8.1 on debian 7

Hello,

I’ve been running openfire for a while now, on Centos6 and had virtually no install issues. Now I’m moving openfire to a new server (Debian 7) and doing a fresh install, using the embedded database. In the openfire admin console during set up I keep getting the following error: The Openfire database schema does not appear to be installed. Follow the installation guide to fix this error. The logs give me this error:

I have tried the following things to fix the issue:

http://community.igniterealtime.org/thread/45247 changing the openfire.properties file, but that didn’t work. Next, I tried this: http://community.igniterealtime.org/thread/36120 removing the section in the openfire_hsqldb.sql as suggested. I also did a Chown -R openfire:openfire /var/lib/openfire, so all the permissions are correct. I’m banging my head on this one, and really stuck. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Devon
