Dropping spark was a serious mistake

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to tell you that we have been using spark in our internationally spread 100+ person company for over 2 years now, and we still love every part of it. We had a paid license for openfire enterprise etc. I just wanted to share that the fact that jive dropped this software, especially the SPARK client (the java one), was a serious mistake! This project still has huge potential, and we wouldn’t be able to function without it anymore.

I’m actually willing to pay you guys to bring this back into dev! Name your price.

Hi,

spark is under develpoment :slight_smile: See http://www.igniterealtime.org/fisheye/changelog/svn-org/spark/trunk.

Actually I work on the Problem with JMF --> SPARK-690 SPARK-625 SPARK-627 .

I will port the library from JMF to FMJ to fix this problem.

Report you bugs and I will check what I can do! :slight_smile:

My god are you serious?

Where can I download it?

Where can I download it?

As cstux said, it is available via SVN. He means source code, which you have to compile to be able to use. There is no official release yet. But you can also try unofficial ones. Here’s the thread for such installers http://www.igniterealtime.org/community/thread/37970 . Though it hasnt been updated for a long. cstux?

I have updated and move the latest spark installer to http://www.igniterealtime.org/community/docs/DOC-1822
