Occasionally Spark will start showing duplicate messages in chat and conference windows when rolling back from 2.6 beta 2 to 2.5.8 seems to reduce the problem. The problem occurs when there is some kind of network interuption typically.
Can you test this issue with the latest SVN version from http://community.igniterealtime.org/docs/DOC-1822 (spark-installer.exe)?
Tried it and still seeing the message though it a bit more limited form. I now only see duplicates for messages of the current day. I’m currently seeing four copies of each mesasge when reconnecting to the chat windows which no messages have been added within the last half-hour.
Can’t reproduce this with the latest October 27 build (http://bamboo.igniterealtime.org/browse/SPARK-INSTALL4J-26/artifact/Install4j)
This issue is corrected in the 10/27 build.
