I have 3.4.5 installed from ports, and would like to upgrade it to 3.5.0 RC 2
There is no fresh port available yet.
I afraid that if I compile Openfire from sources it will not be compatible with port.
How it will be correct to make such update?
I just downwload the latest version for Linux (not source, there’s no reason I can see to compile it), move my old OpenFire directory to a backup one, untar the new one, and then copy over all the things I want saved from the previous configuration. It usually takes me about 5-10 minutes.
