Emoticons on the linux version do not work unless the user has write access to the directory Spark/xtras/emoticons. As a work around each file in the Spark/xtras/emoticons needs to be unzipped and the original zip files must be deleted. If the original zip files are not deleted it will still try to unzip the files.
Within the linux distriubution there are extra files in the zip files:
Spark/xtra/emoticons/POPO.adiumemoticonset/.DS_Store
I’'m not sure if the files Spark/xtra/emoticons/*/Emoticons.plist are needed on the linux version either.
