Enabling vCard access restriction

Hi Everyone!

I gather that it is possible for any user to access any other user’'s vCard irrespective of their Subscription status to each other.

I was wondering if there was any way to enforce an access restriction on vCards whereby user A can access user B’'s vCard only if A is subscribed to B and so on? This would make private data such as phone numbers, email addresses, etc accessible only to trusted people.

Or is it a JEP requirement that vCards should be accessible to everyone?

http://www.jabber.org/jeps/jep-0054.html#sect-id2250733 “There are no security features or concerns related to this proposal.” seems to be what you are looking for.

I think this is the much better way than requesting a subscription of every user if I want to lookup the phone number.
