Error at Openfire - Jabber - Miranda

Hi.

Since Friday we’re unable of connecting to Openfire with Miranda IM using Jabber protocol.

First the problem were the clients because of an update of Windows. Later I tried to update version of openfire (now we’ve 3.6.2) and now I can’t log on to the console… Here’s the error log file:

What can we do?

Thanks in advance,

Hi,

I got the same problem, since Friday as well. Even with the previous version.

Anyone??

Thanks.

Hi again,

The solution: It seems that was an update for Windows 2003 Server wich makes the connection between Openfire and AD diferent.

The field “Administrator DN” at Profile Settings must be the complete path to the user, following this order:

CN=administrator,CN=users,DC=your corporation,dc=com.

I did this here, and works fine!!!

Bye.

My problem is that I can’t log on to the console? Is there any other place to change this properties?

Hi,

Well, you must install again the openfire to set this property during the installation process, at least, that’s what I did. But, you can try to change it in the “openfire.xml”, but I don’t know if it works or even if this value appears in the file.

Hi.

I tried to reinstall openfire server 3.6.2, but this option is not shown.

Also I explore openfire.xml, but the parameter doesn’t exists there… and I can’t go into console

What can I do?

Hi,

Allright, step by step. If you just reinstall the Openfire, the configurations will not appear. You must unistall by the control panel. After that, you have do delete the Openfire folder in the Progam Files folder (don’t forget to make the BACKUP first!!!). So, install again, and all the settings will be shown again for you to configure.

As I said before, I was in doubt about the openfire.xml. But, as you already saw, this configuration does not appear in the file.

Try it, and back to tell us what happened.

Merci
