I would like to know if it’s possible to include the creation of a desktop shortcut in the .deb installer of sparkm in future releases? I know I can create one by using terminal, but it’s a little nuisance when you have to install in a lot of computers.

Spark project itself is in stale now as there are nobody working on it actively. And a few folks here who does something (like me, though i’m not a developer) are Windows users. So, unless someone provides a patch, this won’t happen. Not sure even how to make this, as installers are created in Bamboo system. Maybe some script could be included which will be added while building deb package.
