Hi all. I just wanted to put in a feature request for the MotD plugin that only sends the message to users who have not seen the current version of the message. As an example, perhaps each time the message is edited, an md5 hash is taken of the contents. As users log in, if there is no record of them viewing a MotD message with that hash, they’re displayed the current message and their record is updated. If their record has the matching hash, the message is not sent to them.
It’s just an idea. I think there have been some discussions in the past about it, but I don’t think there’s been a formal feature request. Thank you!
