File Transfer problem

Hello!

i just tried to transfer a pdf file from my home MacMini running iChat the office.

Here is what happend:

The transfer was starting after some hefty delay (around 20-30sec) which looks like IBB to me.

The receiver running latest stable Spark (1.1.4?) received the file and everything seemed perfect BUT the file was broken. Acrobat Reader kept complaining about a destroyed pdf!

Technical background:

  • Wildfire running a nightly from Aug 8 on a dual homed (non routing!) Linux box

  • Sender at home: iChat latest 3.1.5 on my Intel MacMini behind a DSL NAT router.

  • Receiver at the office: Spark Windows 1.1.4 on the inner side of the Linux box.

Can anybody verify this transmission error? Sorry, but being out of office I cannot setup a test routine myself

P.S. The pdf itself was 100% OK as the emailed version proofed afterwards…

Hmm, strange I could swear it worked with an older version of WF…

Hey Starry,

Did you transfer multiple times and recieve the same result?

Thanks,

Alex

Yes I did 3 times within a couple of minutes

But I did not restart Wildfire in between.

Could you post the packets being exchanged between the clients, the ones before IBB occurs… don’'t worry about the IBB packets.

Thanks,

Alex
