Frequently Disconnects on Users PC

All of our users are home based. We have one user who has been experiencing the following:

Spark will disconnect for no reason. She has no trouble connecting, but after a few minutes, it will shut down. She was running Windows Live Messenger, but has since shut it down. Even with MLM off, Spark still disconnects.

Any ideas? Should I have her uninstall/reinstall?


please take a look at the error logs. They are located in “%programfiles%\Spark\logs” and “%userprofile%\Spark\logs”.

If you see there stack traces with com.jcraft.jzlib.ZInputStream.read() or com.jcraft.jzlib.ZOutputStream.write() you really want to disable compression within Openfire (for all clients, not only for her).
