I wonder, is it possible to query the server for its remote servers?
This functionality would give a client the opportunity for example to send a disco#items to all the servers my server is connected so that i could
get their search service… and give the user the opportunity to perform searches in them!

Hi,
no, one can not do this. And you could expect that if this would be possible 100 users would run 1 crawler which does this recursively to get all servers and their search / conference / pubsub / … services. With 1 million users there would be 1000 crawlers, so one might kill the network with such a feature.
It should be very easy to add such a feature.
