Group Chat: 404: Remote Server Not Found

I upgraded from 3.0.0 to 3.0.1 today, and my group chat is no longer working. When I attempt to connect, GAIM gives 404: Remote Server Not Found as an error.

warn.log shows:

It seems to indicate a problem with DNS resolution, but all hostnames resolve OK. (However on the server they resolve to a 192.168.1.x address, whereas those same hostnames resolve to our Internet IP externally… could that be part of the issue?)

I changed DNS so that my hostname and conference.hostname both resolve to their “real” Internet addresses and it didn’'t make a difference after restarting Wildfire. It definitely seems like a change in 3.0.1 since the same config/setup worked fine previously.

Any clues as to what may be going on?

Thanks

Mike

I rolled back to 3.0.0 and the problem remained, so I rolled back the database as well, and now the problem is fixed. Not sure why, but it seems the upgrade to 3.0.1 changed a setting that is causing my difficulties. I’'m willing to test if someone can suggest a direction.

I have the same problem after upgrading to 3.0.1

I am currently offline and will be unable to respond until the end of August.

Thanks

Mike
