GTalk Transport - Cannot receive instant messages inbound

Greetings one and all:

We are new to the world of OpenFire and have been very impressed by our experience thus far.

Here’s the problem we have encountered and are wondering if anyone has any idea what could be causing this very odd behavior through the GTalk transport mechanism.

Use Case

  1. IM Transport Gateway is installed.
  2. No problem creating/registering a connection to “proxy” a GTalk account.
  3. GTalk contacts are properly displayed.
  4. Sending messages to other people at GTalk works perfectly; they get all the messages. However, when they reply (the external GTalk user), those of us behind/using GTalk through the IM Gateway GTalk transport are able to see their first response (inbound message), but none after that.

We have confirmed that our firewall settings are enabled to accept connections on port 5222 & 5223.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve got the exact same problem.

openfire 3.5.2, if gtalk users message first, it works, if a openfire user messages them, they reply but the openfire user doesn’t get the message
