How to add information about incorrect authentication attempts to the log?

We are using Openfire 4.2.3 as a messaging service in our organization.

Is it possible to add information about incorrect authentication attempts to the log?

Through the User Status and Monitoring plugins we have been able to register much of the security information that is mandatory according to the National Security Scheme in Spain, but we are missing this information about incorrect authentication attempts.

The Security Audit Viewer (Server -> Server Manager -> Security Audit Viewer) records logins via admin console - but sadly only for admin console login attempts. It should be relatively easy to add to other login attempts if you wanted to, though.
