Hi,

being a developer it should be really easy for you to get HTTP support working.

My friend the problem is that I’'m not so skilled as you in networking with Java and that is the reason I asking, if you could show me some example would be great.

I’'m behind a proxy that support “http GET” connections and require usser and password for internet access, so how do I do for get connection with the smack api to the google talk

regards

Hi,

with HTTP GET you will not be able to establish a TCP connection to a jabber server. There’'s no way and I wonder how the proxy you are using does handle https:// requests.

ok, excuse me for my bad knowledge about proxies, I’'m a little confuse and omit my last post.

You told me that exist the way to connect to the proxy and I want to know that way because I don’'t know how to do that…

Hi,

did you already try to apply the things I did post. If your proxy requires username and password you may want to hard code both within doTunnelHandshake() as there the CONNECT packet is build.

Did you look at the code posted in “Does Smack support for HTTP-Proxy Connection ???” ?
