Is there a way that I can create a sort of “global” buddy list to apply to all of my Wildfire Messenger accounts, so that when they sign on, they do not have to add buddies manually? I am running Wildfire 2.6.2.

Yep this is possible using the group functionnality of Wildfire.
First, go in admin console then click on the Users/Groups tabs.
After that, you can click on Create a new group, give it a name, add everyone into it.
You also need enable “Enable sharing group in rosters”.
You might also want to take a look at the url=http://www.jivesoftware.org/wildfire/plugins.jspregistration plugin[/url] which allows you to specify a group that users are automatically added to when they first register.
Hope that helps,
Is there a way to do this programmatically in a plugin? I need to create multiple groups and put those groups into various buddy lists.
When User A logs in they see Groups A,B,C in their buddy list
When User B logs in they see Groups D,E,F in their buddy list
but they also need to see the users in the groups so they can chat with them individually as well as with the whole group.
