is there a way to force plaintext logins using NonSASLAuthentication?

I would be interested in this anwer as well. becuase I updated today to wildfire and smack2.1 and I get TLS / SSL errors from stuff that has been working all the times. It looks like that the new login that uses the strongest encription possible causes the problem.
