How to recover admin console passwd?

Our previous admin forgot to document the login/passwd to the admin console, and I have been searching for ways to

reset it the last 30 min both online as well as on the file system. I am not much of a java developer so I am not really

sure how the server itself works.

any pointer/help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

the openfire server is 3.6.4

which database are you using? It may be stored in plain text in the ofUser table

thanks, daryl. I was just told that the authentication is tied in with LDAP. strangely i didn’t find any evidence that indicated that.
