How to verify version

I downloaded 3.6.0a install with JRE. After installation, in the admin console it only indicates version 3.6.0. Is this normal?

I am also receiving updates from the server indicating that 3.6.0a is available and should be installed.

This doesnt make much sense to me.

Don’t worry about it, 3.6.0a is an replacement for 3.6.0 and appears as 3.6.0 because Openfire does not support letters in its version string.
