Http Connection?

Dear All,

Is the wildfire support connection through HTTP connection right now?

I believe this is very-very necessary feature due firewall issue.

i want my jabber client desktop application connected to server through HTTP connection because my WAN administrator permit HTTP and SMTP connection only.

Kindly help and advice.

Hi,

Alex is working on XEP-0124 but I have no idea if it will be included in Wildfire 3.2, 3.x or 4.0.

You may want to wait or install JWChat or MUCkl to get HTTP binding support, both work fine with Wildfire if one configures them right.

Nope, you only need some client that supports the XMPP-over-HTTP-protocol. I only know of web clients that support this, though.

Dear All,

I will use The desktop application “spark”. I use spark for my desktop user jabber client.

I don’‘t wan’'t use web application like jwchat because some reasons.

so, I must wait until wildfire support for HTTP connection.

Hi,

I wonder whether this will be implemented in Smack/Spark. “Fat” clients usually use the native connection and even it’'s even for HTTP CONNECT to get in the Smack/Spark code if it ever does.
