I cant connect with proxy server

hi, i have a problem with spark, in my work i have to connect with a server proxy with user name and pass, so i configured in advanced connection preferences protocol, server, port, user and pass, but i cant connect, display an error message “Can´t connect to server: invalid name or server not reachable”, if i use PSI client, i connect perrfect. So, What can i do?.

and my firewall is stopped.

Hi,

Spark does support a proxy for the translation plugin and to check for updates but not for the XMPP connection.

It’s indeed a little bit confusing that the proxy is not used for the XMPP connection. I did provide a hack for Smack some months before but it will likely not be included in Smack/Spark.
