ICQ contacts gone :-(

Hi,

I hate to say this, but switching to Beta 6b maybe deleted my server-side ICQ contact list (just the contacts, the groups remained intact). This happened yesterday, so I hand-copied the contacts from Miranda and re-added 3 contacts to the contact list using web-based icq client. They worked with the transport OK, until today morning - the contacts are gone again. I found some strange messages in the debug log (“Removing BuddyItem” really scares me). Any ideas?

Hrm. It -looks- like the plugin is receiving an update for the contacts in question that tells it “these contacts are in no groups” and … well frankly it’‘s not handling that right. Hrm. So it’‘s after you add a contact and then log into the im gateway plugin that it does this? What group did you add the contact to from your other ICQ client? Or did you add them to any groups? It looks like they’'re in a group called “All” when you first log in.

I’'m sorry it whacked your contacts. =( Hopefully we can figure out why it did that!

Some clients on my Jabber server lost ICQ contacts too :confused:

Its used Wildfire 3.1.1 with IM Gateway 1.0 Beta 6b

Clients use Miranda and Psi

My original contacts were in 4 groups. I lost all those contacts (not the groups), so I fired up the official ICQ 5.1 client, created a new group “All” and re-added 3 contacts to this new group. These contacts worked fine for a day (I think that it even survived several restarts of Miranda and Psi). The next day these contacts disappeared, and this is where the log comes from.

I’‘ve seen somewhere that they’‘re preparing ICQ version 6, so maybe it’'s related to that…(some protocol changes, maybe?)
