This is a problem I’ve noticed since various month now and since it still seems to be not fixed I assume it’s best to bring this forth.
What happens is that contacts from the ICQ or MSN gateway on a client IM ( in this case Kopete ) if offline are shown up to 20 duplicates in the client. Online they only show once as they should.

Openfire 3.6.3
IM Gateway 1.2.4d
Kopete 0.12.7
Not sure what kinds of other informations could be useful. It’s just a bit silly to have like 300 offline contacts in the IM although you have only 15 or so registered contacts.
